Introducing myself

Hi, I'm Kowalski7cc, and I'm a dragon who loves technology!

I've been a Linux nerd since I was 10 years old, and I was lucky to turn that childhood passion into my day job as a Linux expert, Site Reliability Engineer and instructor. I love sharing knowledge and promoting Open Source by speaking at events, and organizing gatherings like the Linux Day.

When I'm not busy at work, I'm an absolute maker at heart: I love to "Do It Yourself". You can usually find me tinkering with electronic boards, 3D printing or laser cutting. Occasionally I learn something new by automating my lair with Home Assistant or by selfhosting my homelab. I hoard vintage systems and my collection includes Commodore, Amiga, MSX, and ZX computers and the soundtrack of choice is always electronic, chiptune, or retrowave (just keep jazz away from me!).

Some of my many interests include digital photography and gaming (mostly Minecraft, FPS, puzzles, tower defense, arcade and sometimes also card and board games). When not snuggling on the sofa, I'm probably diving into some sci-fi, trying to solve a Poirot-style murder mystery, and fueling up on endless amounts of pasta, pizza, and sushi.

I'm part of the furry fandom, don't be afraid to greet me when I'm fursuiting around, just respect personal boundaries and avoid pulling my tail! Being a fluffy dragon always makes me happy!
